About Register Atlas
Register Atlas is an independent guide to the National Register of Historic Places, the federal list of buildings, structures, objects, sites and districts found worth preserving. It holds 101,425 of the 100,793 listings in the National Register office's own spreadsheet. Every listing appears on its county page, and the 2,758 National Historic Landmarks each have a full record.
Listing records come from the National Park Service. Photographs, construction dates and encyclopedia articles come from Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, matched on the register's reference number. The methodology page explains each source.
Register Atlas is part of Publicopia, a group of guides built from public data that includes Park Atlas and Campsite Atlas. It is not affiliated with the National Park Service or any government agency.
Register Atlas is published and operated by Lev & Lumber LLC, a California limited liability company.
